When I left Potsdam, one of the items in my suitcase was a project bag stuffed full of yarn goodies for others, whether finished or yarn for fellow knitters.
I’ve now delivered the cowl to its intended recipient (my brother, who just announced he’ll be in Hawaii for the next couple years. Go figure), and this morning I visited the post office to send a few gifts out.
In particular, I finally got these wool socks from UnPlanned Peacock worsted weight wool out to Wool Aid.
If somehow somebody from Wool-Aid finds this post – I’m sorry about my crummy tags. I realized I’d forgotten them and made the best of what I could find in my hotel room.
So now my bag of goodies looks like this:
Everything left in it is going to one particular person. Bet some of you can guess who deserves more than one woolie gift.
Never fear though that I’m going to suffer from too little yarn! I picked up all these UnPlanned Peacock fluffies I had had delivered to my mother-in-laws:
The first will be socks for TheEnabler, then I have some fade/morphic shawls and cowls planned for the other two. You will note that one is prewound, so I can dig right in (if I get those stupid fun socks done).
I am ready to start the toe:
Apologies for the abyssmal lighting in my hotel room.
Today we are off to explore some of Chicago. And hopefully not get caught in too many thunderstorms.
