I finished my leg warmers over the weekend, and they are what I hoped – warm and cozy. Great for indoors and outdoors.
This is a very good thing, because man, that second leg warmer was a pain. I don’t know what happened to my brain because, after executing them perfectly on the first one, I kept messing up the cables on the second one. I’m am really really good at dropping down and fixing cables now. (Actually, I think I kind of know what happened to my brain – it was a really busy and intense work week and maybe I should have worked on easier projects, but I really wanted to finish these).
Not only are they warm, I think they look pretty good too! The colors are everything I was hoping – the blues and touches of red and brown work with whatever color I’m wearing, taking on those hues, instead of clashing.
The yarn isn’t the softest, but legs don’t need butter soft yarn, and the are definitely instantly warm. Some yarns and garments seem to take a few moments to warm up (I find silk is like this) and feel chill when you first put them on, but not these. My ankles instantly feel wrapped in warmth. I feel like there may be more legwarmers in my future (maybe some shorter ones for just my ankles for indoors?), but for now it’s on to other projects.
