Damask Cowl continues, and I’m not bored yet. It has occured to me that I will need to make a decision about how big it gets eventually, but I don’t think I’m there yet.
Overall, it has be a fairly straightforward pattern. A couple times I have forgotten an increase, and adding one in retroactively is messier with brioche, but as long as I only missed one on the row, there is enough give in the yarn to get it in there.
I added my coffee cup for interest. I don’t think it worked. Sometimes, I really miss our awesome hand made pottery coffee mugs from back in the states. On the other hand, buying boring funtional dishes here has ensured it won’t be too hard to sell or give them away when we leave.
The first of the pair of kilt hose is starting to look more like a reality. I’m officiall past the calf decreases and I’ve tried it on TheEnabler to check it fits. I’m also just about done the first ball of yarn. I have three allotted per sock, and since I’m pretty sure I’m over a third of the way done (especially when you consider there’s a fold over cuff on it), things are looking promising. If I can make it into the heel on ball #2, I’ll feel really comfortable.
I am also hoping to get a little bit of spinning in today as well. We shall see.
They are beautiful, Jaye!
