And the first casualties
Last Saturday we had a little adventure with a very important goal: a new kitten. We had a three hour ride up to Rostock, where her breeder lives, and I got a good bit of a sock started:
I’m planning to use an adapted version of the Francie foot with the basic 2×2 rib of the leg. I want to move the ribbing that wraps from bottom to top of foot to sit at the instep, and provide a bit of support.
However, since kitty got home, knitting has slowed considerably. Both because she thinks it’s a really cool toy (which I am discouraging) and because I’ve been busy playing with her when not working. Since I work from home, she has company almost the entire day.
Last night, the yarn wall had it’s first casualties. We left a chair too close, and she pulled two skeins down. Apparently, once off the wall, they weren’t as interesting so I woke up this morning to find them unharmed on the floor. Chair has been moved, and those skeins placed higher.

She is settling in well, and you can expect crafting to resume shortly. Probably. But she is fluffy (and will only get fluffier) so thus blog-worthy,
