Finally, some spinning

I realized I might not be getting enough spinning done when I found myself twisting the car fur I cleaned out of the cat brushes into little lengths of yarn. This weekend, I correct a bit for this spinning deficit.

We had a lovely warm and sunny weekend this weekend. On Saturday TheEnabler and I took a nice long walk through one of the parks, with a stop first for a beer at a brewery on the lake, and then culminating with dinner out at an Indian restaurant we found. Along the way, I was able to finish up a spindle of mohair I’d been making slow progress on.

Then Sunday afternoon I headed out to the local knitting group meetup. Because it was so nice, they met outside at the cafe we go to. This meant we were a bit more spread out and I pulled out my spindle again instead of my knitting. I spun over around 25-30g of fiber.

It was really satisfying to feel like I make some spinning progress. Only 25g left to go. The fiber is 100% mohair top dyed several years ago by Unplanned Peacock. I’m using one of my Cynthia Wood Spinner drop spindles.
