Patience!

I finished binding off the cowl today. I did have to rip back a few rows and use the white handspun for the first two rows of the 8 row edge to ensure I had enough of the tweed 2ply to finish and bind off.

A cowl knit of white handspun and tweed yarn in green, blue and orange with brioche, cables and blocks of purl and knit. Yarn ends are still visible, showing it’s not quite finished

I finished it this afternoon (mindless binding off is great virtual conference call knitting) and handed it to my husband shortly after he came home. First words out of his mouth?

“Are you going to give it to him tomorrow when he comes in?” (“Him” is the intended recipient, a colleague of my husband)

I was slightly taken aback. I mean, the ends are very clearly NOT woven in, and TheEnabler knows about blocking (he’s had to wait for his own gifts enough). But if you want to know why this blog post isn’t longer…

I have a cowl to finish.
