I’ve mostly been working on the cowl this past week. At this point I have the pattern memorized – once I was a dozen or so rows in it became possible to see what the next row should be based on the previous ones. I’m about two repeats into the three repeats it calls for in the pattern, but I think I’ll keep going until I like the length of it. It’s the right mix of repetitiveness for working during watching tv, and thinking just a bit to keep me occupied.
I’ve also done a little bit of spinning. I’m close to finishing the last of the batts I purchased last January:
It’s cold and dark out (though the days are slowly getting longer!), there aren’t any Christmas markets this year, and we don’t have a fire place, so this “log fire” batt is as close as I’m going to get. I do have to be careful! Pippin is intrigued by the spinning spindle and is in danger of getting “burned” by it.
The cowl looks awesome! Love the pattern, and the inner layer (gauging from the rib) looks like it will be SO FUZZY.
The spindle pic totally looks magazine caliber! And looking at it makes me happy.
