I know it’s summer…

But I am so happy to have finished knitting a warm woolly hat! Because I’ve been planning to knit this one since I purchased the Shetland Wool Week 2019 Annual, and I love how it’s turned out. Also, hats are small, and thus not unpleasant to work on when it’s hot outside. Unlike shawls, sweaters, and blankets.

Just look at those wonderful teal blues and cheerful oranges! It’s going to be great to have another warm hat for winter and I think it’s going to look particularly nice with my deep teal and royal blue wool cape.

I do still have to weave in all the ends (downside to such a sophisticated pattern with all those color changes) and block it, but I can leave that for another day. It’s going to be a while yet before I can wear it.
